Balconies and exterior decks are constantly exposed to rain, moisture and changing weather conditions. When the waterproofing system, drainage, flashing or perimeter transitions are not installed correctly, water can penetrate beneath the finished surface and damage the structure below.

Infinity Shower Pans provides balcony and deck waterproofing for residential projects throughout Orange County and surrounding Southern California. We focus on proper preparation and creating a continuous waterproof barrier before the finished surface is installed.

Depending on the existing conditions and project requirements, the process may include removing failed materials, inspecting and preparing the substrate, establishing proper slope for drainage, addressing flashing and critical transitions, and installing the appropriate waterproofing system. Special attention is given to areas around walls, door thresholds, drains, penetrations and perimeter edges where water intrusion commonly occurs.

For projects using a hot mop waterproofing system, the prepared surface is protected with reinforced layers of asphalt-saturated felt and hot asphalt to create a durable waterproof membrane. The waterproofed area can then be water tested when appropriate before the remaining preparation and finished surface are installed.
